Celebrating the official start of summer with an acoustic cover version of Gershwin's 'Summertime.' 

Plum Island is one of my favorite Summer getaways!  It combines two things I love dearly; islands and plums (although I still haven't found any plums but I'm gonna keep looking for them.  I hear they are delicious) The last two years I've really loved this event.  There is no better way to spend a late spring afternoon than with amazing local live music set against the beautifully majestic backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean! 

This is a great family-friendly event!  There is tons of live local music across the island as well as beautiful beaches to walk along.  Unfortunately, parking is really tough for this one, but there are free shuttles that run back and forth.  I strongly recommend parking and taking the shuttle.  Check out the website for specific details.

PlumFest is a community-driven project to bring local musicians, island residents and visitors together to showcase the natural beauty and artistry that make Plum Island such a special place. Inspired by other “porch-fest” efforts in nearby communities, PlumFest brings our own unique flavor to the mix, with an event that is sure to please.  

The entire event is FREE! The hosts volunteer, the bands volunteer, and our volunteers volunteer. This day is all about coming out and sharing the beauty of Plum Island and the music of our  
community with friends and neighbors. Yes, we will be collecting donations for our designated beneficiaries (Music & Memory and the Boys & Girls Club of Lower Merrimack Valley), but there is no admission charge. 

There will be music playing across Plum Island on Saturday, May 20th from noon to ~6:00 pm, and it’s all FREE! 

Since it's birth a few years ago, Mystic Brewery in Chelsea has been making some of my favorite beers.  They are using traditional techniques to brew inventive, funky and creative recipes.  I'm really excited to be playing in their equally funky tap room on May 31st.  Come on down and have all of your senses delighted simultaneously!  (at least two of your senses.... ok maybe only one of your senses but I'll do my best!)

On Wed April 19th I will be participating in a songwriters showcase at the Hearing Room in Lowell, MA. It looks like its going to be a great night of original music played in a very original venue in Lowell. The show should run for about 90 minutes and you will hear the songwriters swapping songs in a funky and casual setting.  I hope to see you there!

I had a great time last month, and I'm excited to be back playing a solo acoustic show at the Middle East Corner on October 5th from 10-10:30pm. 

Now that I'm onto my second Middle East show, I'm thinking about changing my sound from 'Dinosaur Rock for the Modern Man' to 'It Used to Be Falafel but Now It's Not Half Bad' or 'Guitar Notes Sting You Like a Shwarma Bees.' I can't decide. They both sound delicious.
